What does a Postpartum Doula do? A postpartum doula helps a mother after birth. She is her servant and friend "mothering the mother" during her time of postpartum rest. A postpartum doula's job is to pamper the mother and help her get back on her feet when the time is right!
OUR Basic Package Includes the following:
10 hours of Postpartum Work -- First 10 Hours = $100! (Day Time Only) Special Package good Thru July 31, 2017 House Hold Tasks that you want done: Suggestions include Laundry for baby and Mum; Meals while you rest; Light house picking up; Wash Dishes; Run Errands, EtC. Evening Hours 6 PM and Later is $20 an hour -- Can Make Evening Meal, Put baby down for evening, Stay overnight to help with night duties, Etc. Or We can leave when You plan to go to sleep like 9 or 10 PM. Need more Hours? We can arrange Package or Hourly Rate. if you prefer to do Hourly Rates only our rates are $12.00 an hour. Freezer Meal Preparation -- Add-On Package:We can help make up freezer meals Before your baby is born! We have Food Handling Safety Certificate and will make meals at your home and freeze them. We charge a flat fee of $50 For Easy meals and $100 for more sophisticated meals.
What a Postpartum Doula Does NOT Do: We do not Do Anything Medical. If your baby needs medicine; we prefer that you dispense the meds; however we can help you with holding baby while you give the medicine for instance. We suggest if baby is running a fever to call your doctor immediately. We are not nurses and have no medical liscensure. We appreciate you taking care of Medical needs; while we take care of your home and Postpartum needs.
Placenta Encapsulation and Tinctures -- Coming Soon -- I am currently Training through Madriella and re-certifying through them. They offer a Placenta Course which I plan to take in near future. Once I have taken this course; I Plan to offer Encapsulation in your home. If you want tincture; we can also discuss this. I may need some Volunteer Mamas To Practice Placenta Encapsulation on soon--so if you are Due in July or later this year; then let me know so I can offer a Free or discounted service. I will at least need my supplies covered.Note: I cannot guarantee the outcome of your Placenta Encapsulation when I am in Training. However, I will try my best to do it well. I plan to shadow a Encapsulation Doula locally!
